On October 28th and 29th, 2026, EduQA Rio in Lisbon will host the 5th and final Transnational Meeting of the VR4 Empathy Project, bringing together European partners for two days of review, reflection, and planning of the project's final activities.

The EPALE Community Storybook for 2026, titled “The Space Between,” has just been released.

As part of its mission, EduQA, IP, is today, October 20th, releasing the results of the 2026 Learning Monitoring Tests (ModA) to schools, students, and parents/guardians, reinforcing its commitment to assessment that serves learning and the continuous improvement of the education system.

For two days (October 21 and 22), the most emblematic annual event of the Electronic Platform for Adult Education in Europe (EPALE) will discuss, with renowned experts, how skills can help shape a fairer and more resilient Europe.

The webinar "Primitiveization and Integration in Secondary Education," led by Jaime Carvalho e Silva (Retired Professor from the Department of Mathematics at FCTUC), will take place on October 22nd at 6:00 PM.

On World Food Day, celebrated on October 16th, EduQA – Institute of Education, Quality and Evaluation, IP publishes the document Guidelines for School Menus and Canteens 2026, an updated technical reference aimed at supporting schools, municipalities and other entities responsible for school meals in promoting healthier, more sustainable meals that are better suited to the needs of children and young people.

The document "Artificial Intelligence in Education — Guidelines for the responsible use of AI in an educational context," intended for Pre-school, Basic and Secondary Education, is open for public consultation from today for a period of 30 days.

The 50 school clusters and non-clustered schools selected for this initiative of the National Reading Plan have already been announced. This initiative recognizes diverse, inclusive reading lists tailored to the different reader profiles within the school communities.
