We are making available the promotional video for the PESSOAS-FSE+-0047460 project – Learning Recovery – Curriculum and Inclusion, developed by the Directorate-General for Education between September 2023 and December 2025, in conjunction with all its Organic Units.

Culture, history and education: Roma/Gypsy in the Portuguese context
The second edition of the training course Roma Culture, History and Education in the Portuguese Context took place in 17-18 April and 8-9 May 2026, in Figueira da Foz, and was funded by the project RomaMemory. This training course was a partnership between the Council of Europe/Roma and Travellers Division and the joint European Union and Council of Europe project Equality and Freedom from Discrimination for Roma: Roma Holocaust Remembrance and Education (RomaMemory), the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation/Institute of Education, Quality and Assessment, I.P. (EduQA, I.P.) and the University of Minho. Roma Culture, History and Education in the Portuguese Context is a trainers training course, which aims to prepare trainers at Teacher Training Centres (CFAE) to facilitate the training in their regions (mainland Portugal).

National seminar dedicated to the PISA for Schools program.
EduQA is hosting a national seminar on PISA for Schools on July 8th at the Caldas da Rainha Cultural and Congress Center, bringing together experts, schools, and decision-makers to discuss the use of data in improving educational practices.




The final party of the Kids Voting event celebrated books, reading, and civic participation.
On May 28th, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation hosted the closing ceremony of the 2025-2026 edition of "Kids Vote," an initiative promoted by the School Libraries Network that, for the tenth consecutive year, challenged children and young people from all over the country to choose their favorite books.

EduQA supported Cape Verde in the implementation of PISA for Schools.
EduQA, IP, a Portuguese entity accredited by the OECD for the implementation of PISA for Schools, provided technical support to the Ministry of Education of Cape Verde in the application of this international assessment in all Cape Verdean secondary schools.

EduQA establishes training partnership with the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo.
The Institute of Education, Quality and Evaluation, IP (EduQA) has established a partnership with the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo for Teacher Training – Creativity and Critical Thinking. Anabela Serrão, a member of the EduQA Board of Directors, participated in the opening ceremony.
