The transition of services to EduQA is taking place in an integrated manner

Within the framework of the reorganisation of the Public Administration, the responsibilities previously ensured by the Institute of Educational Evaluation, IP (IAVE), the Directorate-General for Education (DGE), the National Agency for Qualification and Vocational Education, IP (ANQEP), the Mission Structure of the National Reading Plan and the Coordinating Office of the School Libraries Network are transferred to the Institute for Education, Quality and Evaluation, IP (EduQA, IP).

This integration process aims to strengthen coordination between educational policies, external assessment, curriculum development, qualification and promotion of reading, reinforcing the coherence and efficiency of public action.

The transition is taking place in a phased and structured manner, ensuring the continuity of services provided to schools, teachers, and other education stakeholders.

During this period, the websites of previously existing entities may remain active, ensuring access to relevant information until the full consolidation of competences in the scope of EduQA, IP.

EduQA will continue to provide updated information through its institutional channels.

JNE/EduQA Communication – Summary of the reassessment process of the 1st phase

The process of reviewing the first phase of the 2026 national examinations has been a major challenge for the entities responsible for the process, namely the National Examination Board, school administrations, examination secretariats, and teachers responsible for marking. In the current academic year, more than 21,000 requests for review of first-phase exam papers were submitted, more than triple the number of requests submitted last year.
