What if schools started with the heritage, people, and knowledge of the region to create new learning experiences? That is the challenge of GERAt, a project by Turismo de Portugal in partnership with EduQA, which brings students closer to their environment and promotes the creation of sustainable tourism proposals.
In November, the project, in collaboration with CFAE Minerva, will present three online training courses for teachers: “From the Territory to the Classroom: Educational Projects through Tourism”; “Learning with Flavor”; and “Learning with Destination”. These courses aim to support project-based learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and connecting the school to the community. All three courses are accredited and count towards mandatory training.
