
“Working with the Financial Education Framework and the Financial Education Notebooks as a contribution to their dissemination and implementation in the school context” is the title of the training course that will take place in October, November and December and is intended for early childhood education and care practitioners and basic and upper-secondary education teachers.
The training course lasts 25 hours and will take place on 17 and 24 October, 7 and 21 November, and 12 December, at the Cidadela School Cluster in Cascais.
This training aims strengthen teachers in the area of financial literacy. In this sense, it intends to promote the acquisition of knowledge in the fields of economics and finance, enabling participants to approach financial education in a school context, as well as to use appropriate pedagogical resources, teaching methodologies, and pedagogical practices. The sharing of experiences among teachers working with the topic of financial education will also be encouraged.
The training is delivered within the framework of a partnership between the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, through the Institute for Education, Quality and Evaluation (EduQA), and the Financial Supervisors, as part of the National Financial Literacy Plan. It has a team of trainers from the Bank of Portugal, the Securities Market Commission and the Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority.
