The National Reading Plan will participate, on September 22nd and 23rd, 2026, in the official launch of the European Literacy Coalition initiative in Brussels, as a member of the European consortium EURead.

Developed by the European Commission, in cooperation with organizations dedicated to literacy in several European countries, the European Literacy Coalition aims to strengthen collaboration between different sectors and support coordinated European action in the field of literacy, recognizing its fundamental role in education, social inclusion and the full participation of citizens in society.

The initiative brings together organizations involved in promoting reading and developing literacy skills, creating opportunities for cooperation and the sharing of knowledge and experiences.

The participation of the National Reading Plan in this event contributes to strengthening its connection to European networks dedicated to literacy and reading, promoting the exchange of practices and involvement in European-wide initiatives.
