Public body responsible for quality, curricular innovation and external evaluation of learning in the Portuguese education system.

The "Building Education, Connecting Territories" initiative included the participation of EduQA.

The president of the Board of Directors of EduQA, IP, Luís Pereira dos Santos, participated in the initiative “Building Education, Bringing Territories Closer”, which took place between April 13 and 15 and included a series of five meetings and working sessions promoted by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, with the participation of the directors of all schools in the country and the municipalities, in the areas of intervention of the Regional Coordination and Development Commissions (CCDR).

These meetings were attended by the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, Fernando Alexandre, the Deputy Secretary of State for Education, Alexandre Homem Cristo, the Secretary of State for School Administration, Maria Luísa Oliveira, as well as the vice-presidents of the CCDRs for the area of Education. Representatives from the Agency for the Management of the Education System (AGSE), the Institute for Education, Quality and Evaluation (EduQA) and the General Inspectorate of Education and Science (IGEC) also participated.

The initiative “Building Education, Bringing Territories Closer” aimed to strengthen the articulation and proximity between the services of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MECI), schools and local authorities, within the framework of the ongoing reform in the area of Education. In the context of these meetings, Luís Pereira dos Santos presented EduQA, outlining its mission and areas of intervention in the education system.
