Portuguese as a Non-Native Language (PLNM): Guidance and Position Papers

Três capas de documentos oficiais sobre a inclusão linguística de alunos migrantes e Português Língua Não Materna (PLNM).

The guidance and position papers, produced within the framework of educational policy measures promoting the integration and inclusion of migrant students, are available on the EduQA, IP page dedicated to Portuguese as a Foreign Language .

The collection of documents, which includes positioning test models and guidelines for Level Zero, can be consulted and downloaded in the "Positioning Tests" and "Level Zero Guide" tabs, respectively.

In “Positioning Tests”, the complete versions of the diagnostic instrument models are available, namely:

– Portuguese Non-Mother Language Placement Test (PLNM) – 1st and 2nd Cycles of Basic Education;
Portuguese as a Non-Native Language (PLNM) Placement Test – 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education.

Printables and audio files are also available for download.

The guide "Linguistic and Curricular Inclusion of Migrant Students: Guidelines for Level Zero ," a support tool offering practical guidance to schools on implementing measures for migrant students with very limited knowledge of Portuguese, can be downloaded from the "Level Zero Guide" tab.
