Amendment to the legal framework of Inclusive Education

The draft legislation that makes the second amendment to the legal framework for inclusive education, approved by Decree-Law No. 54/2018 of July 6, is currently open for public consultation.

The purpose of this public consultation is to gather contributions from citizens, professionals, entities and other interested parties, with a view to improving the proposed legislation.

Contributions can be submitted until July 17, 2026 at: Amendment to the legal framework for inclusive education.

On May 28th, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation hosted the closing ceremony of the 2025-2026 edition of "Kids Vote," an initiative promoted by the School Libraries Network that, for the tenth consecutive year, challenged children and young people from all over the country to choose their favorite books.
