On 8 June 2026, the ceremony for the 10th edition of the National Philosophical Short Story Prize took place at Colégio Nossa Senhora das Graças, in Real, Braga. This initiative was promoted by APEFP – the Portuguese Association of Ethics and Practical Philosophy.

Class B of the 3rd year of the 1st cycle of basic education was distinguished as the national winner with the story "The Möbius Strip", recognised for the creativity, philosophical sensitivity and questioning ability demonstrated by the children.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from the municipality of Braga, the school's management, and the educational community, and was enriched by an artistic performance by Paula Soares, flautist of the Orquestra do Norte.

The students received the book containing the edited story and the diploma for national winners. The philosophical initiation of the children, guided by teachers Sandra Gomes and Eduarda Montenegro, demonstrated the potential of Philosophy for Children practices in the development of critical thinking, written expression, and intellectual autonomy.
