EduQA, PI, a Portuguese entity accredited by the OECD for the implementation of PISA for Schools, provided technical support to the Ministry of Education of Cape Verde in the application of this international assessment in all Cape Verdean secondary schools.

The PISA for Schools tests were administered until 30 May 2026, involving approximately 2,300 15-year-old students. The assessment provided relevant information about students' skills in reading, mathematics, and science, as well as about their learning environment and school well-being.

Developed by the OECD, PISA for Schools provides schools with rigorous and internationally comparable data, supporting reflection on student outcomes and the improvement of educational practices.

The participation of 44 Cape Verdean schools represents a significant step in strengthening the external assessment of learning in Cape Verde and in promoting evidence-based educational decisions.
