Aimed at students in the 3rd cycle of basic education and secondary education, including vocational courses, the competition promotes statistical literacy, critical thinking, and teamwork through challenges with real data.
The competition has two phases: the national and the European. Students participate in teams of 1 to 3 members, accompanied by a teacher, with tests carried out remotely. The two highest-ranked teams in each category will qualify to represent Portugal in the European phase.
This year, the prizes have increased significantly, with the first-place prize rising from €300 to €500 per student. There are prizes for students and teachers from the five highest-ranked teams in each category.
Registration and testing for the first phase will take place until December 15, 2026, at 11:00 PM, mainland Portugal time.
