Theme – “The Ocean and maritime professions”

The ocean has professions you can't even imagine: scientific divers, renewable marine energy engineers, deep-sea biologists, maritime law lawyers, ROV pilots, blue biotechnology researchers, underwater archaeologists…

Real professions, with a future, waiting for someone to tell their stories.

The 6th edition of the Mário Ruivo Prize - Oceanic Generations challenges young people from all over the country to discover this universe and give it a voice through cinema.

A tribute to the legacy of Professor Mário Ruivo and the role of the Ocean in our society, told by the generation that will build its future.

If you are aged 14 to 21 and passionate about the ocean, this contest is for you!

Create a film of up to 7 minutes and tell us about the ocean and maritime professions.

Apply by 30 September and you could win a prize up to €2,000.
