The PAR Project \u2013 For the Analysis and Use of External Assessment Reports<\/strong>, launched by IAVE in 2019, aims to support schools in analysing and using the results of external assessment, thereby fostering an assessment for learning culture.<\/p>\n

Across five editions, the PAR Project has engaged schools from all regions of the country - North, Centre, Lisbon and Tagus Valley, Alentejo, Algarve, and the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira - as well as Portuguese Schools Abroad, establishing itself as a systematic support initiative for educational communities.<\/p>\n

Designed with the purpose of enhancing stakeholder participation in the educational process, the PAR Project employs structured working dynamics tailored to the various sessions conducted in schools, fostering a close and supportive environment conducive to reflection and knowledge sharing. In this context, the project has prioritised the involvement of school leaders, teachers, students, and parents\/guardians in working dynamics focused on the analysis of Individual Reports and School Reports from external assessments, aiming for an informed use of these data in pedagogical decision-making.<\/p>\n

In its initial editions, PAR focused on national diagnostic test reports. It subsequently supported the transition to the current external assessment framework, based on the Learning Monitoring Tests (ModA) at the end of the 1st and 2nd cycles of basic education. Within this framework, the project has assisted schools in reading and interpreting reports, as well as in defining strategies aimed at the continuous improvement of learning outcomes.<\/p>\n

The actions implemented under the PAR Project<\/strong> include school visits, lasting one or two days, to conduct collaborative working sessions. These have contributed to the creation and publication of several resources, notably: Practice and Suggestion Guides (e-GPS <\/a> and print GPS<\/a>), Systematisation Reports (PAR Report<\/a>, PAR.2 Report<\/a> e PAR.3 Report<\/a>) and Collaborative Boards (PAR.4 Pathways<\/a>, 2023\/2024; PAR.5 Pathways<\/a>, 2024\/2025, phases 1 and 2).<\/p>\n

The PAR Project<\/strong> thus represents a relevant contribution to strengthening formative assessment practices and to enhancing the value of external assessment as a tool to support school operations and promote educational success.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
